Parsifal (or Sir Percival) was a knight of the Round Table. He went on the Grail quest, glimpsing its beauty, yet unable to touch it for he was tempted by a sorceress. Though he realised what he was doing, because he allowed his earthly needs to come before the quest he was not pure enough to hold it.
